Registered Massage Therapy

I am a different kind of chiropractor as my patients will tell you. I have combined the fundamentals of chiropractic education with specialized diagnostic and treatment protocols and more than 25 years of lifting/strength & stability coaching to offer an experience that is thorough and produces objective results. Integration of these ideologies has allowed me to identify and resolve many uniquely difficult cases in my career, a process which I very much enjoy. I utilize a wide variety of therapies beyond chiropractic adjustment that includes soft tissue therapy, neuro-therapy, myofascial cupping, cranial-sacral therapy, meridian therapy and nutritional intervention just to name a few. Please see my website for details: www.drjamiedougall.com.

My patients are of all ages and from all walks of life. My office hours accommodate a range of work/school schedules. I offer longer appointment times for those that require it. I look forward to meeting you! See you soon! (Thanks for reading all the way to the end…).

Though born in Taiwan, I have spent the majority of my life here in the lower mainland. It is here where I was raised and it is here where i have chosen to put down roots. My BSc in Biology was done at UBC and it was there where I was first exposed to Ballroom Dancing. As someone who respects and admires human performance, becoming a competitive dancer came quite naturally to me. The precision, strength, timing and flexibility required was a constant challenge to which I devoted countless hours and over 15 years of my life. I quickly came to realize how critical a finely tuned body was to my performance on the dance floor when injury brought me to seek treatment from a Registered Massage Therapist. Having experienced the healing power of an RMT started me on my journey to where i am today.

In 2012 I set aside dance and enrolled full time at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) for their 3000 hour program. With a lot of hard work, sacrifice and the support of friends and family, my goal of becoming a Registered Massage Therapist was realized.

Having a strong foundation to start from and constantly upgrading and expanding my training, my goal is to create a customized treatment plan for all my patients to speed recovery and allow them to return to their peak performance.

In my spare time I attempt many different sports with questionable success. Some of the activities I can’t seem to stay away from include volleyball, golf, badminton and I look forward to picking up competitive ballroom dancing again in the near future.
